Editing Google Calendar Events in Bulk with Google Sheets

Editing events one by one in Google Calendar can be painfully slow — especially when managing dozens or hundreds at once. With Calendar to Sheets, you can update, delete, or create multiple events in a single action, just like working in Excel. Here's how to do it.

Step 1 – Understand the Sheet Layout

  • Each event is a row, with details like Event Title, Dates, Times, Location, Attendees, and more.
  • Update checkbox – Marks an event for updating.
  • Delete checkbox – Marks an event for removal.

Step 2 – Update Events in Bulk

  • Change any event detail; the Update box will check automatically.
  • Example: move all meetings from 9:00 to 10:00 in one go.

Step 3 – Delete Events in Bulk

  • Check the Delete box next to the events you want to remove.
  • Ideal for clearing canceled shifts or outdated appointments.

Step 4 – Create New Events in Bulk

  • Add details to a blank row.
  • Check Update; no Event ID means the add-on will create it as a new event.
  • Example: add all marketing campaign milestones for the next quarter.

Step 5 – Use Pro Features for Efficiency

  • Apply formulas to auto-fill descriptions or times.
  • Filter events by keyword or date to find what you need faster.
  • Keep meeting links consistent across rows.

Step 6 – Export Back to Google Calendar

Once all edits are made, follow our export guide to sync changes.

Conclusion

Bulk editing with Calendar to Sheets saves hours of tedious clicks. Whether you're managing a small team or a large organization, this workflow can transform how you handle your schedule. Try it with your own calendar today.
